Our Church Missions
Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth
Our church supports the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth by preparing meals for families who are here caring for their young children in the hospital.
"What joy it gives us to be able to bring a little bit of home to these families who are experiencing such stress and worry in their lives right now. We like to bring a little nurturing and care to these folks."

Upward Sports
Our Upward Sports program has taken off! Children and adults come together to play sports and learn about the love of God. Basketball and cheerleading programs are intertwined with devotional lessons, as children grown in body and spirit. The SBPC Upward Program, held January through March each year is a growing ministry and mission. We invite you to join in the fun.

CROP Hunger Walk
When CROP began in 1947 (under the wing of Church World Service, which was founded in 1946), the name was an acronym for the Christian Rural Overseas Program; its primary mission was to help Midwest farm families to share their grain with hungry neighbors in post-World War II Europe and Asia. Reflective of a program that for several decades has been both urban and rural, today CROP stands for Communites Responding to Overcome Poverty and identifies interfaith hunger education and fundraising events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by 21 CWS/CROP regional offices across the

Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to needy children around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas--Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift.

The Women and Children's Center of Fort Worth
SBPC has adopted the Women and Children's Center of Fort Worth as a Christmas mission for over seven years. Our congregation supplies the gifts for the wish lists of all of the families residing at the shelter over the Christmas holidays.

Youth Mission Trip to New Orleans
Our vibrant, caring youth have taken New Orleans to theirs hearts and are traveling each summer to the areas ravished by Hurricane Katrina. They are working hard and making a difference in the lives of families by building residences with Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Our Presbyterian Missions
While our church has adopted the missions above as those that particularly touch our hearts, we also participate in the regional and worldwide missions of the Presbyterian Church USA.
Presbyterian Night Shelter of Fort Worth
The Presbyterian Night Shelter has evolved over the past 21 years into more than just a night’s lodging for the homeless. It is now a campus of facilities providing specialized care for specific segments of the homeless population, while continuing to serve the general homeless population in the existing Night Shelter. The Night Shelter provides basic necessities to 400 – 700 homeless persons nightly.
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance enables congregations and mission partners of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) to witness to the healing love of Christ through caring for communities adversely affected by crisis and catastrophic events.
One Great Hour of Sharing
Since 1949, Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share God’s love with people experiencing need. Our gifts support ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, and community development that help people find safe refuge, start new lives, and work together to strengthen their families and communities.
